- General Plantation Guidelines
The general plantation guidelines for all projects will be to;
- Invest only in indigenous trees
- While planting indigenous species also consider and be sensitive to endangered and extinct species.
- Be mindful of biodiversity and ecological balance by planting a number of mixed varieties instead of a uniform specie of plants.
- Engage in the 3 tiers system of the plantation drive (ask help from the core team if unfamiliar).
- Be mindful of the solar orientation when designing the park/site.
- Create experiential spaces instead of random plantation eg: Japanese and Mughal Gardens are good inspirational points of reference. (Free guidance help from leading industry experts is provided to anyone interested in seeking design support)
- Be careful of pre-existing flora and fauna at all sites and do not disturb their already present ecological habitat.
- Cater to the organic bio-diversity and ecology of local flora and fauna which is primarily responsible of a healthy ecosystem – thus an active agent to counter smog and pollution.
